A Landscape in Hell by Steve Klepetar

Steve Klepetar's poetry chapbook, A Landscape in Hell, was written in the year of his mother’s death. The poems in this intimate and compelling collection, explore the haunted inner landscapes of loss and memory and change.


Steve Klepetar was born in Shanghai, China, the son of Holocaust survivors and refugees. He grew up in New York City, and was educated at Binghamton University and the University of Chicago. He taught literature and creative writing for nearly forty years, most of them at Saint Cloud State University in Chicago. His work has appeared widely throughout the U.S. and abroad, and he is the author of eleven collections, including five from Flutter Press.
