Winged by Laura Snyder

Winged by Laura Snyder is a collection of poems on illness and vibrancy.  The poet leads the reader along “a risky walk/caught between two worlds”: urban and wild landscapes, meditative and emotional domains.  Many of these poems sing the curative qualities of ordinary gifts, endorsing everything from flight patterns to lemon curd to deer fern.  And throughout, she remains amazed at how instinct assists us all, even those “uncertain what wings are for.”   32 pgs, 19 poems, $5.50

~ Allen Braden, author of A Wreath of Down and Drops of Blood
